Wichita Lineman
Beatiful song nominated one of the best pop songs.
Quite a lot of stuff on it on the internet including Glen
Campbells
version on youtube. And some quite good grasps of the
chords on guitarseminars.
It is very much in agreement
with my chords below. I tend to play less on the first string
and don't use the basic Bb chord (X13331) but the add6 with an
open
g string (X13O31).
Listen to most of it here
To me it is a reminder about the good old days in
the
60'ies in my dear hometown
Jels. I never played it
myself until now. But it was in the back of my head,
like so many of the other songs that was around then.

Is still on the line
I know I need a small vacation
But it don’t look like rain
And if it snows
That stretch down south
Won’t ever stand the strain
And I need you more than want you
And I want you for all time
And the Wichita lineman
Is still on the line
And I need you more than want you
And I want you for all time
And the Wichita lineman
Is still on the line
